Calhoun County Remonumentation Committee
July 19, 2006
Chairman Bob Carr called the meeting to order at 9:00 a.m.
Members present: Bob Carr, Scott Koch, David Lohr, Fred Cutcher, Mike
Pratt and Bill Crane. Also present: Jennifer Bomba, County Planning
Director; Jim Leitch, Williams & Works; Greg Purcell, County
Administrator; Blaine VanSickle, Drain Commissioner; and David Lee,
Equalization Director.
Special Presentation
Jennifer welcomed everyone and introduced Jim Leitch, professional
surveyor with Williams & Works and project manager for the calhoun
county GPS network project. Mr. Leitch presented the details of the
Calhoun County Densification Report, including the GIS applicability,
remon applications, and private survey uses of the network. The project
includes 87 GPS markers that are non-property section control markers.
Minutes
Motion by Bill Crane to approve the minutes of the June 21 2006,
Peer Group meeting. Support by Fred Cutcher. Motion carried.
Old Business
Jennifer noted that East Jordan Iron Works will accommodate our
monument box order as previously discussed. Surveyors will need to pick
up supplies within one week of the order being placed. Bob directed
Jennifer to order 50 monument boxes and 80 lids. Bob believed that one
trailer could pick up all the supplies and they could be divided up from
his office. Jennifer will let Bob know when the order has been placed.

by Mike Pratt. Motion carried.

Eckford Township: B-7, C-6
Motion made by Fred Cutcher to approve the corners as presented.
Support by David Lohr. Motion carried.
Fredonia Township: J-6, L-7, L-9
Motion made by Bill Crane to approve the corners as presented. Support
by David Lohr. Motion carried.
Sheridan Township: C-5, D-5, F-13, E-13
Motion made by Mike Pratt to table Sheridan Township corner C-5 and
approve the remaining corners as presented. Support by Bill Crane.
Motion carried.
Albion Township: F-1
Motion made by David Lohr to approve the corner as presented. Support
by Fred Cutcher. Motion carried.
The position of chair was turned over to Bill Crane.
