Calhoun County Remonumentation Committee
September 20, 2006
Chairman Bob Carr called the meeting to order at 9:00 a.m.
Members present: Bob Carr, Scott Koch, David Lohr, Fred Cutcher, Bill
Crane, and Brian Reynolds.
Also present: Jennifer Bomba, County Planning Director
Minutes
Motion by Fred Cutcher to approve the minutes of the July 19, 2006,
Peer Group meeting with correction of capitalizing Calhoun County under
Special Presentation. Support by Scott Koch. Motion carried.
Old Business
Jennifer noted that the County has received the final payment for
the 2005 grant program. The Calhoun County Road Commission will be
reimbursed for any and all expenses incurred while the program was
administered under their management of the Planning Department.
New Business
Corner Approval
-
Scott Koch presented Sheridan Township corner C-5, tabled on July 19,
2006. It was agreed that the corner would remain tabled for further
investigation.

Fred Cutcher presented corners for approval.
Homer Township: F-5, G-5
Motion made by Scott Koch to approve the corners as presented. Support
by Bill Crane. Motion carried.
Clarendon Township: B-7, B-8, C-7, C-8, C-10, C-11
Motion made by Scott Koch to approve the corners as presented. Support
by Bill Crane. Motion carried.
Homer Township: K-3, K-4, K-5
Motion made by Brian Reynolds to approve the corners as presented.
Support by Scott Koch. Motion carried.

approval.
Clarence Township: F-9, F-10
Motion made by Scott Koch to approve the corners as presented. Support
by Bill Crane. Motion carried.
Lee Township: L-2
Motion made by Brian Reynolds to approve the corner as presented.
Support by Scott Koch. Motion carried.

approval.
Bedford Township: K-8, L-5
Motion made by Scott Koch to approve the corners as presented. Support
by David Lohr. Motion carried.
Convis Township: E-10, E-11, F-9, F-11, G-9, G-10, H-9
Motion made by David Lohr to table Convis Township corner G-9 and
approve the remaining corners as presented. Support by Bill Crane.
Motion carried.
Pennfield Township: D-2, I-7, I-10
Motion made by Scott Koch to approve the corners as presented. Support
by Bill Crane. Motion carried.

Marshall Township: C-6, E-6
Motion made by Scott Koch to approve the corners as presented. Support
by Fred Cutcher. Motion carried.
Burlington Township: K-3, J-3, K-6, I-4, I-3, H-4, G-4, E-9
Motion made by Scott Koch to approve the corners as presented. Support
by Fred Cutcher. Motion carried.
Leroy Township: D-5, D-6, E-3, E-6, F-3, K-6, H-5, H-3, I-2, G-3,
E-5, K-2
Motion made by Scott Koch to table Leroy Township corners D-5 and D-6
and approve the remaining corners as presented. Support by Brian
Reynolds. Motion carried.
The position of Chair was turned over to Bill Crane.

approval.
Newton Township: G-6, E-8, D-9
Motion made by Brian Reynolds to approve the corners as presented.
Support by Scott Koch. Motion carried.
Marengo Township: J-12, H-5
Motion made by Scott Koch to approve the corners as presented. Support
by Brian Reynolds. Motion carried.
The position of Chair was returned to Bob Carr.
Miscellaneous
- Bob noted
that the 2007 projected grant amounts have been released. Calhoun
County is estimated to receive approximately $190,000, a $20,000
increase.
- Bob asked
that all surveyors get a list of any corners that could be considered
as the “undesignated corners” that were written into the grant. Bob
will check for availability of funds and see if any others need to be
assigned.
- Fred
expressed difficulty in getting his corner assignment completed. Bob
questioned if anyone would be willing to take on seven of Fred’s
corners. Scott Koch agreed to complete these corners.
