Calhoun County Remonumentation Committee
July 18, 2007

Chairman Bob Carr called the meeting to order at 9:00 a.m.

Members present: Bob Carr, David Lohr, Bill Crane, Scott Koch, Brian Reynolds and Fred Cutcher.

Also present: Jennifer Bomba, County Planning Director.

Minutes
Motion by Fred Cutcher to approve the minutes of the June 20, 2007, Peer Group meeting as corrected. Support by David Lohr. Motion carried.

Old Business

  1. Dave Lohr presented a previously tabled corner for approval.

    Clarence Township: D-4
    Motion by Scott Koch to approve the corner as presented. Support by Bill Crane. Motion carried.
     
  2. Scott Koch presented a previously tabled corner for approval.

    Albion Township: E-2
    Motion by Dave Lohr to approve the corner as presented. Support by Bill Crane. Motion carried.

Corner Approval

  1. Scott Koch presented corners for approval.

    Marshall Township: J-6
    Motion made by Dave Lohr to approve the corner as presented. Support by Fred Cutcher. Motion carried.

Athens Township: K-6, K-7, K-9, L-7, K-8, J-6, L-6, J-8, L-8, H-6
Motion made by Fred Cutcher to table L-8 and H-6 and approve the remaining corners as presented. Support by Dave Lohr. Motion carried.

  1. Fred Cutcher presented corners for approval.

    Clarendon Township: D-7, G-6, D-6, H-6
    Motion made by Scott Koch to approve the corners as presented. Support by Dave Lohr. Motion carried.
     
  2. Dave Lohr presented corners for approval.

    Clarence Township: B-6
    Motion by Scott Koch to approve the corner as presented. Support by Bill Crane. Motion carried.

Lee Township: H-6, J-6
Motion made by Scott Koch to approve the corners as presented. Support by Bill Crane. Motion carried.

  1. Bill Crane presented corners for approval.

    Leroy Township: C-2, C-3, C-4, D-2, D-4, E-4, F-2, F-4, G-2, G-4, H-2, J-2
    Motion made by Scott Koch to table Leroy Township corner C-4 and approve the remaining corners as presented. Support by Brian Reynolds. Motion carried.

Miscellaneous

  1. Bob discussed each surveyor’s progress on completing the assigned corners. Traverse costs are high and we need to cut back on some of the assigned corners to stay within our budget. Bob will have a better handle on the monumentation budget at the next meeting to let surveyors know how to proceed.
